Influential statements used across Positive News' website and magazine.

Positive News is a magazine that uses constructive journalism to focus on the progress and solutions that are happening across the globe. Plastic pollution is a trending topic and 'litter levels [in] the last decade have risen by over 15%,' —Rebecca Smither's, The Guardian. Having lived in Bournemouth for a few years encouraged the idea for more engaging beach cleans by mirroring the values of Positive News through positive imagery.
The same statistics and advice to help reduce plastic pollution are reported repeatedly but there is not enough action taking place. People are not changing their plastic habits, therefore we should inform them by interacting with them better.
How can good journalism be made interesting? How can it become more memorable for people?
An event. In recent surveys people are more inclined to take part in activities and be part of group experiences due to sharing events on social media.

Below is the layout of the beach with the appropriate signage placement. The clean will cover 7.5 miles across from Sandbanks Beach through to Boscombe pier.
Each 1.5 miles will be covered by a specific category in Positive New's magazine. Each category has stories from successful businesses that have made a positive change, and these business owners plus local people will help give insight to the public that volunteer as well as help run the beach clean.
The back portion of the beach is occupied by a tent to get the full impact of the public passing by for people to easily volunteer but also allowing people to use the beach as they please.
The same layout will apply to the other categories on the beach.
